"There is nothing so American as our national parks. The scenery and wildlife are native. The fundamental idea behind the parks is native. It is, in brief, that the country belongs to the people, that it is in process of making for the enrichment of the lives of all of us. The parks stand as the outward symbol of this great human principle." Franklin D. Roosevelt

Lamar Valley

There are moments when you just have to pause and take in everything around you.  Clouds were billowing and snow was falling in the distance.  When the sun peaked out from a cloud bank over Lamar Valley all I could think was "Wow".  Between the snow and the shadows I could have easily become totally entranced this powerful sight.  There truly is no other place like Yellowstone and I never have to remind myself how incredibly lucky I am to be here and experience the sights and sounds that are offered to me everyday.
