Bison Herd Swimming Yellowstone River

This is once of those cases where it was an incredible scene but the picture turned out blurry. Darn. I had been held up for almost an hour as a portion of the herd in Hayden Valley walked across the road and then ran for the river and swam across. It was getting dark but I managed to be in a location where I could watch them enter the river and swim. There was a lot of groaning, snorting and splashing. It was a great moment.
